| Abstract | Imagens aéreas resultantes do uso de Veículos Aéreos Não Tripulados (VANTs) ajudam a identificar, em particular, falhas de plantio que afetam diversas áreas plantadas, como as que se destinam ao cultivo do feijão-comum. Em tal contexto, a identificação de padrões de solo em imagens envolve, em grande parte, o uso de métodos/algoritmos de Aprendizado de Máquina. Este trabalho teve como foco a etapa de extração de features das imagens coletadas, a qual esta intimamente relacionada ao desempenho da aplicação. Assim, estudou-se três diferentes descritores de imagens, CIE-LAB, BIC (Border/Interior pixel Classification) e Haralick, os quais foram usados individualmente ou combinados para enriquecer representações. Estes descritores buscam representar imagens extraindo delas um conjunto de atributos numéricos. Resultados de classificação sobre os diferentes espaços de atributos gerados mostraram que as melhores acurácias provêm de representações com menos atributos e, em especial, ao se adotar o filtro de atributos Correlation-based Feature Selection. ABSTRACT: Aerial images resulting from the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) help to identify, in particular, planting failures that affect several planted areas, such as those used to grow common bean. In this context, the identification of soil patterns in images involves typically the use of Machine Learning methods/algorithms. This work focused on the feature extraction of the collected images, which is closely related to the performance of the application. Thus, three different image descriptors, CIE-LAB, BIC (Border/Interior pixel Classification), and Haralick, were used individually or combined to enrich representations. These descriptors aim to representing images by extracting from them a set of numerical features. Classification results on different feature spaces showed that the best acuracies come from representations with fewer features, and especially when adopting the filter Correlation-based Feature Selection. |
