abstract = "The epidemiological risk several times come from the relationship
between human and the environment. In a endemic region of malaria
such as Amazon, the different ways of using and organizing the
environment imply in different levels of human exposure to the
vector. Thus, the landscape can be used as an indication,of the
presence of vectors and the hosts of malaria due to the
association of them with some types of land cover and their
spatial arrangements. The main objective of this study is to
generate a gradient map of human exposure to malaria vector based
on the landscape analysis, using TerraClass 2010 data, represented
by cells of 16 km2 in the Manaus municipality (AM). The landscape
in this work is considerate as a mediator element for the
determination and spatialization of human exposure levels to
malaria vector. The gradient map resultant of the analysis was
compared with the malaria infection data from SIVEP-Malaria 2010,
also represented by cells map. The results showed good adherence
between the exposure map and the malaria infection data,
indicating that landscape is a promising mediator for generation
and spacialization of human exposure levels to the malaria
                         vector.",
